Clean Your Stove, the easy way

Do you have nasty looking burners on your stove, like this:

Turn your gas stove on as low as the flame will go and in about 30 minutes, it will look like this:

Isn't that amazing? I am easily impressed. Here ends the infomercial. Happy Labor Day!

Really? Did you really leave it on for that long? I'm afraid I would forget about it and lay a bread wrapper on it, or a paper towel, or my good china.

Yes, I really left it on that long. I usually set the timer so I won't forget about it.

I remember in Home Ec class, circa 1984 we would get points off for putting ANYTHING on the stove that wasn't cooking. Our teacher scared us to death with talk of kitchen fires.
