Go Forth And Stimulate The Economy

It's our job as Americans to spend our Economic Stimulus checks.

So, we did our part by promptly buying a new computer monitor. And something else for our computer that Mr. Incredible wanted, which means nothing to me. I turn it on, I check email, I download pictures. All else is of no concern to me.

I spent a bit over at McMaster & Storm. I ordered the very cool European stapler. It spits out these adorable little copper staples and never ever jams. I also got Noah a pair of Saltwater Surfer sandals. I remember every other kid wearing them when I was little. I'm pretty sure I didn't have a pair, which is probably why I bought them for my baby. They are cute, leather and you can hose 'em down when they get dirty. When the package arrived I couldn't believe all the details that went into the packaging. It was so fun to open and they put a bunch of little extra treats in the box. One being a package of peppermint ice cream candies which I am totally hooked on and wish I had a 5 lb. bag.

How are you stimulating the economy with your stimulus check???

I want to see a picture of the saltwater surfer sandals. I have no idea what they are...then again, I am a bit younger than you ;) I bought Jeff his first pair of flip-flops yesterday at the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale. They're green and blue crocs. I forgot I bought them until I read your blog. I'll have to get them out for tomorrow's hot weather! Remember when we used to hit up the sale....too bad I'm too fat to buy any clothes for myself anymore. One day I'll be skinny again!!

  2. I can confidently assure you that we are doing more than our fair share to stimulate the economy. We're building a new house and if we spend one more penny I think my husband's head is going to fall off. Seriously.

  5. I couldn't see the pic either...

We did our part by buying a NEW STOVE!!! WOO HOO! It's not all fancy shmancy, but it gets the job done, and you should have seen our old one. It was "shivers" horrible. The right hand side of the cooktop was sheared off and just sitting there, a very dangerous, sharp, metal thing on my stove, and every time I cleaned (or attempted to, anyway) I was afraid of cutting myself on it. Then the front of cooktop started doing the same thing. I couldn't WAIT to get rid of it.

  6. Thanks, Tracey, for visiting my blog, for your prayers and encouragement to us, and for sharing your story as well. That is amazing about your daughter! So many people have shared stories about God's faithfulness during and after miscarriage, and that has brought hope and sweetness to us, despite the pain. Thank you for your prayers!

  7. What photo are y'all asking for? There was no photo with this post. Or are you just being smart because I usually do post with photos?

  8. If you click the space where the picture should be it pulls up a new window with a real picture in it. Are you sure you didn't post a picture? :)

BTW, today I posted about my new stove. Thanks for asking to see pics.

  9. I got my eyes lasered :)! So good to see you back up and blogging! I kind of wondered what happened to you, then I remembered you were due to have a baby. I'm off to see pictures now :)!

  10. Alrighty---just read every word of every post! I am a square, green person as well. I love a rectangle table because I can use a bench with it and squish more people in, but a round table is better for conversation. My brother is a driver on the Busch circuit, so I've had enough car races to last me a loooooong time. I'm the one reading a design magazine at the races ;)! And YES--I want to just eat that sweet little baby up. She has the cutest little smooshy face! And her name is as pretty as she is. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

  11. My husband traded in his car and got a new one. I told him that technically, part of that money was mine. He laughed and didn't give me any.

Thanks for the comment. Being a secret blogger works for me right now. I think random aquaintances that I actually do know might find it weird. So, I am happy with all you strangers.

Oh, I can't see the picture unless I click on the little square where the picture is. Now I see them. I've never seen them before though. Aren't they girly? OK, now you're mad at me. I just use crocs for the summer since they also hose down easy and slip on easy. Jeff can even put them on all by himself..."I do it by myself, mommy".

  13. Katie, When was the last time I was mad at you for telling the truth? Never, I hope! I still don't know what picture you guys are talking about, but I will post a picture of Noah's surfer sandals so you can see they aren't AS girly as the ones on their website home page. Your mom's girly.
