Hula Your Bed

I have had these grass skirts in a closet for at least 3 years. I knew I wanted to use them as a bed skirt, but never got around to getting the job done.

Naked Bed

Properly Dressed

It's Ain't Pretty Under Here

All I did was grab Stanleah (see post below if you don't know her) and slap those bad boys right to the bottom of the box spring. Then I gave them a hair cut to the perfect length. If a woman with a belly as big as mine can do this, anyone can.

I love that you used that grass for a skirt. That's something my mom would have said a person could NEVER do! Makes me love it even more!

  2. I just stumbled across your site and got such a kick out of your "hula bed." How creative! Come by my "Hooked on Houses" site sometime--I think you'd fit right in with the rest of us there. :-)

Good luck with your blog. I Bookmarked you and look forward to seeing what you do with it! -Julia k

  3. Love it...and love the name "Stanleah." I too love my staple gun, power drill, power screw driver, level, tape measure, and paint supplies. I've always have a project going!

  4. This is the dang cutest idea ever! And I'm mucho impressed that you not only did this, but got down and took pictures. Dang. Now I'm all inspired to beautify the homestead (instead of doing our regularly scheduled major renovations ourselves).
I am also requesting a photo tour of all your rooms and projects. Craft on, clever cousin.

  5. VERY cute! I would have really loved to do that when I lived in Hawaii and the quilt on my bed was tropical! Maybe you can do a matching window treatment in the same grass?? lol
